The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago launched a new program to distribute trees to help Restore the Canopy in the Chicagoland area after emerald ash borers destroyed countless trees. This ten-year program started in 2016 with the goal to distribute 1,000,000 free tree saplings to area residents. The campaign included a logo, brochure, leaf Illustrations, fact sheets, sign-up forms, signage, stickers, and a program progress chart.
